    WHAT IT COSTS

    A subscription. Pricing at launch.

Growth optimisation is being built as a software subscription. Its pricing is published when it launches, and not before.

Plans and prices are published at launch. No number is quoted before then.

Audit, tests and rollout, as the work runs today.
    0 min
    First call
The store, its traffic and its funnel, then a written scope.
    HOW LONG

Two weeks of audit. Then sprints.

Traffic decides how long a single test runs. The rhythm around it is fixed.

    01
    Week 1

    Baseline audit

KPIs set, current performance benchmarked, and the funnel's drop-off points found.

    02
    Weeks 1–2

    Hypotheses

A ranked backlog of tests, each with a written hypothesis drawn from the data.

    03
    Ongoing

    Experiments

A/B tests run in weekly sprints, each to its planned sample size.

    04
    Monthly

    Rollout and report

Winners built into the store. A report of what ran, what shipped and what is next.

    05
    Quarterly

    Strategy review

The plan adjusted to what the quarter's data showed.

    IF IT GOES WRONG

    Every change. Tested first.

The current store keeps selling while a variant is measured against it.

    01

    Significance before shipping

A variation replaces the original only after the test reaches statistical significance.

    02

    The original keeps running

In an A/B test, part of the traffic still sees the current page. A losing variant is switched off and nothing else changes.

    03

    One click back

On Shopify, winners are built into a copy of the theme. The previous theme stays in your library.

    04

    Data in your accounts

GA4, VWO and the recording tool are set up under your business, so the history stays with you.

    05

    Terms published with the price

Commitment and cancellation terms are published with the subscription price.

    06

    Scope in writing

Tests, landing pages and reports are listed before work starts. A change is priced before it is made.

    WHO IT'S FOR

    Plenty of visits. Flat orders.

If the second list sounds like you, those pages come first.

    Optimisation fits

    • 01
A conversion rate that stopped moving

Traffic is steady, and the share that buys has not changed in months.

    • 02
Paid traffic landing on the homepage

Campaigns that need their own landing pages, tested against each other.

    • 03
A store a few months past launch

Real visitors, real data, and a product page nobody has tested yet.

    • 04
      A redesign under discussion

The biggest doubts tested on the current store before anything is rebuilt.

    Look at these first

    • 01
The store is not live yet

There is nothing to measure. See Shopify Theme Development.

    • 02
The theme itself is the problem

A slow or broken theme is rebuilt, not tested. See Complete Redesigns.

    • 03
      Traffic is still small

A test needs visitors to reach significance. The baseline audit says whether the store has enough.

    STANDARDS YOU CAN CHECK

    On the record. Every test.

Each one can be checked in the test log and the monthly report.

    01

    A hypothesis in writing

What is changing, for whom, and which number it should move, recorded before the test starts.

    02

    Sample size set ahead

The visitors and the duration a test needs are calculated first. A test is not stopped early on a good day.

    03

    One primary metric

Each test names the single number that decides it. Other metrics are watched, not used to declare a win.

    04

    Tracking checked first

GA4 purchase events are matched to real orders before the baseline is taken.

    05

    Losses logged too

Every test is in the log with its result, including the ones that changed nothing.

    06

    A report every month

Metrics against the baseline, tests run, changes shipped and next actions.

    BEFORE YOU BRIEF

What founders ask before the first test.

It depends on your traffic and on where the funnel loses people, and nobody can know that before looking. Targets are set after the baseline audit, and every change has to reach statistical significance before it ships.
The baseline audit and its findings come in the first two weeks. After that, each test runs for as long as your traffic needs to reach significance. A full cycle of audit, tests and rollout runs three to six months.
Growth optimisation is being built as a software subscription, and its pricing is published at launch. Until then we do not quote a number. The work stays as described here: a baseline audit, then measured tests, landing pages and a monthly report. Commitment terms are published with the price.
Enough for a test to reach significance in a reasonable time, which depends on your current conversion rate and the size of the change being tested. The baseline audit works it out from your own numbers and says how long each test would need.
VWO for A/B tests, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity for recordings and heatmaps, GA4 for the funnel, and Figma for variants. Google Optimize closed in September 2023, so tests that once ran there now run in VWO.
It is part of the work. On Shopify, a winning variation is built into a copy of the theme, checked, then published, with the previous theme kept in the library.
The metrics against the baseline, each test that ran with its result, what shipped, and what is next. Every quarter there is a strategy review that adjusts the plan to what the data showed.
This service works on what happens after the click: landing pages, product pages, cart and checkout. Landing pages are built for your campaigns, and paid media optimisation on Meta and Google is quoted in writing on request.
Yes. GA4, VWO, Hotjar and Clarity run on any site, and the tools are chosen for your platform.

    First the numbers.
