Move the store.
Keep the orders.
Products, customers, orders and URLs carried to Shopify from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix or Squarespace. The old store sells until the new one is checked.
Every record. Every URL.
Set out in a written migration plan before anything moves.
A published floor.
The Starter package covers up to 300 products and 12 months of orders. Larger catalogues, older orders, reviews, gift cards and integrations are priced above it. A written quote follows the call within 48 hours.
Rehearsed once. Moved once.
A typical plan. Order history and integrations move it.
Audit
Every data type, plugin, custom feature and URL on the current store, mapped to where it lands in Shopify.
Test migration
A full run into the new store behind a password. Counts compared with the old store, record by record where they differ.
Store setup
Theme, payments, shipping, taxes and apps configured. Redirect list written and tested.
Cutover
In the lowest-traffic hours: orders and customers since the test run brought across, then the domain pointed at Shopify.
QA and monitoring
Every page, product and checkout path checked for 48 hours. Rankings, crawl errors and redirects watched after that.
The old store stays open.
Until the new one has passed every check.
A test run first
The whole migration is run once into a password-protected store. Problems show up there, not in front of customers.
Counts reconciled
Products, variants, customers and orders are counted on both sides. The numbers have to match before cutover.
A way back
The old store is not switched off at cutover. Pointing the domain back is one DNS change while a fix is made.
30 days of watching
Rankings, crawl errors and 404s are checked after launch, 14 days on the Starter package and 30 on larger plans. Missed redirects are added.
Accounts in your name
The Shopify store, the domain and the payment gateway belong to your business from the first day.
Scope in writing
The migration plan lists what moves, what is replaced and what stays behind. A change is priced before it is made.
Outgrown the platform. Not the store.
If the second list sounds closer, another service is the better start.
A migration fits
- 01A WooCommerce store
Plugin updates, hosting and security patches handed to Shopify, with the catalogue and orders intact.
- 02A Squarespace or Wix shop
A site that began as pages and now sells enough to need inventory, couriers and one-click checkout.
- 03A Magento or BigCommerce store
A large catalogue and a hosting bill, moved to a platform a small team can run.
- 04A custom-built store
Data held in your own database, mapped field by field through Shopify's import tools and API.
Look elsewhere first
- 01The store is already on Shopify
Nothing needs moving. Complete Redesigns rebuilds the theme where the store stands.
- 02There is no store yet
Shopify Theme Development covers a first store: $999 for up to 25 products with a theme.
- 03The move is to headless
The data moves the same way. The storefront is scoped on the Headless Shopify Development page.
Counted and crawled. On paper.
Each check is run before cutover and again after it.
Counts that match
A reconciliation sheet: products, variants, customers and orders on the old platform and on Shopify, side by side.
Every old URL answers
Each address from the crawl returns a 301 to a live page in one hop. No chains, no 404s.
Meta data carried
Title, description and alt text on the new page match the old one unless the plan says otherwise.
Search Console set up
Domain verified, new sitemap submitted, and coverage checked weekly after launch.
Orders tested end to end
A test order through every payment method, including a refund, before the domain moves.
A plan you can read
What moved, what was replaced, what was left behind and why, in one document.
Two stores. Both moved.
Each case file shows the theme, the checkout and the apps.
Incense cones, sticks and gift boxes, migrated to Shopify.
What founders ask before a move.
Same customers.
New platform.
A 30-minute call about the store and where it lives today. A written migration plan after it.
