    HOW LONG

Four phases. Each one signed off.

A typical plan. Catalogue size and custom sections move it.

    01
    Week 1

    Scope

Audit of the current store, its apps and its speed. Page list, sections and apps agreed in writing.

    02
    Weeks 1–2

    Design

Home, collection, product and cart designed at phone width first, then desktop.

    03
    Weeks 2–5

    Build

Sections, templates, metafields and apps built on an unpublished theme you can preview at any time.

    04
    Week 6

    Launch

Theme Check, Lighthouse, device testing and test orders. Then publish, and a walkthrough of the editor.

    IF IT GOES WRONG

    The live store stays untouched.

    Until you press publish.

    01

    Built on an unpublished theme

Customers keep buying on the current theme while the new one is built and previewed.

    02

    One click back

The previous theme stays in your theme library after launch. Rolling back takes a minute.

    03

    Updates without losing work

Custom work lives in its own files. Base theme updates are merged in Git and tested before publishing.

    04

    Code that outlives anyone

Every change is a commit in your repository. Any Shopify developer can pick it up.

    05

    Scope in writing

Pages, sections and apps are listed before the build. A change is priced before it is made.

    06

    Bugs fixed

Anything in the delivered scope that does not work as agreed is fixed as part of the build.

    WHO IT'S FOR

Most D2C stores. Not all of them.

If the second list sounds like you, read the headless page first.

    A Liquid theme fits

    • 01
A catalogue of tens to thousands of products

Food, beauty, fashion, home. The shapes Shopify themes were built for.

    • 02
A team that edits the store every week

Banners, drops and landing pages changed in the theme editor, by the founder.

    • 03
A store that runs on apps

Reviews, loyalty, subscriptions and one-click checkout, installed in minutes.

    • 04
A store on an old theme

A pre-2.0 theme, or one slowed by years of pasted scripts.

    Look at headless instead

    • 01
      The storefront is the product

Configurators, 3D, or an app-like flow a theme cannot hold.

    • 02
Shopify is one of several sources

Content, bookings or memberships from other systems on the same pages.

    • 03
      A React team already exists

Engineers who will own the storefront and ship to it every week.

    STANDARDS YOU CAN CHECK

    Written down. Handed over.

Each one is checked before launch, and the reports come with the theme.

    01

    Theme Check: zero errors

Shopify's own linter runs on the final theme. The output is in the handover.

    02

    Lighthouse on a phone

Performance and accessibility measured on home, collection and product. Targets agreed in the scope.

    03

    Every section editable

No hard-coded copy or images. If it shows on the page, it has a setting in the theme editor.

    04

    No pasted app scripts

Where an app offers a theme app extension, it is used. Nothing is injected into theme.liquid.

    05

    Responsive images

Every image through image_url with srcset and set dimensions. Below the fold loads lazily.

    06

    Keyboard and screen reader

Menus, drawers, filters and the cart work without a mouse, with labels and visible focus.

    LIQUID STORES

    Six stores. Three themes.

Each case file shows the theme, the checkout and the apps.

    BEFORE YOU BRIEF

    The questions founders ask first.

Usually the theme is only part of it. The audit lists every app and script loading on the home, collection and product pages, with what each one costs. Apps that duplicate a theme feature are removed, the rest load through app embeds only where they are used, and leftover code from uninstalled apps is cleared out. You get Lighthouse reports before and after.
Soon, yes. Shopify stops apps creating script tags after 1 October 2026, and existing ones stop running on 1 March 2027. The audit lists every app still loading that way, and each one moves to its theme app extension or is replaced.
No. Custom work lives in its own sections and snippets, and the theme sits in Git. When the base theme releases an update, it is merged in the repository and tested on an unpublished copy, instead of through the one-click updater that overwrites edited files.
Yes. Every section has settings in the theme editor: text, images, colours, order and visibility. Banners, collections and landing pages change without code. Handover includes a recorded walkthrough of your own theme.
You do. The theme is built in your store and connected to a GitHub repository in your name. If you ever move to another developer, they start with the full history.
The previous theme stays in your theme library, so going back takes one click while a fix is made. Bugs in the work delivered are fixed as part of the build. Monthly maintenance for new sections and updates starts at £159 a month.
A new store with a theme, up to 25 products, is £799: £159 for the theme and £599 for design and development. You supply the content and media. With creatives it is £1,199, and Drimigo prepares the product images, banners, category visuals and A+ content. Additional products are £7.99 each. A store of up to 10 products goes through the Dreams program for a flat £399. Anything beyond these caps is quoted in writing before work starts.
Yes. Drimigo Dreams is a complete Shopify store for up to 10 products at a flat £399. It is built the same way as the larger packages, on a development store with ownership transferred at launch, and you can add products, creatives and a headless storefront later.
No. The store is built on a Shopify development store and ownership is transferred to you at launch, so no Shopify subscription is needed until then. Third-party app subscriptions, payment gateway fees and Shopify's own plan charges are not part of the price.
Analytics with Google and Meta tracking, the payment gateway (with help onboarding to Razorpay), and Shiprocket for logistics, all set up through Shopify Partner access. Fees charged by those providers are yours to pay.
The first iteration is ready within 7 working days after we receive your inputs: your content and media for a store with theme, or the brief for one with creatives. The final timeline depends on catalogue size and rounds of feedback, and is written into the scope.
Most stores start from a proven base such as Dawn, Impact or Kalles and are rebuilt to the brand, which is the faster and cheaper route to the same result. A blank theme makes sense when the design shares little with any base. The scope names which one, and why, before work starts.
For most D2C catalogues, no. A Liquid theme keeps the theme editor, installs apps in minutes and costs less to run. Headless earns its cost when the storefront has to do something a theme cannot. The headless page sets out when that is.
Shopify checkout, and the one-click checkouts D2C stores in India use: Shiprocket, GoKwik, Shopflo and Razorpay Magic Checkout. On apps, Judge.me, Nector and most of what a D2C store runs. Checkout changes go through Checkout Extensibility, since checkout.liquid no longer works.
